So we can continue our polluting lifestyles after all, thank fuck for that.

I don’t believe Peter and his team or anybody I suggesting that. Decarbonization is required as quickly as possible, be it to zero, near zero or net zero … all quite elusive … AND to return to Holocene CO2 level atmospheric and oceanic concentration levels—i.e., ocean acidity—twice (2X) future emissions must be somehow sequestered by all means necessary. I thing we all agree.

That is daunting, but certainly doable. Daunting, because it faces a conundrum involving crude production, refining and distribution complex global logistics and the capitalist financial paradigm in a strategic endeavor that aims to minimize economic collapse, human suffering, societal chaos and other considerations spelled out in three Claude AI validations and clarifications I’ve pondered for two decades.

The three chats at 1) Bit.ly/KjngKiller, 2) Bit.ly/ClaudeOK and 3) Bit.ly/GETAmap *

* GETA is a new institution Claude proposes to coordinate decarbonization efforts, the “Global Energy Transition Authority”

Read all three and you'll understand why I believe we must expand our public discussion to draw awareness to the challenges ahead ❣️🙏

I’ve learned from bitter experience to file things like this under “I’ll believe it when I see it.”

Good luck, I hope it works!

Hi Peter,

Thanks for the article Peter. How does this Nitrogen fixing solution work? How is that introduced along with the iron?

Peter Fiekowsky's avatar

Pam-great question. The nitrogen fixing requires a higher level of iron, and maintaining it for several months while the organisms reproduce-they're slow compared to phytoplankton. And it requires optimization.

HI Peter, from the graph you show, why do you think after the eruption there was a year of continued rise before a year of co2 pause? From my understanding the main eruption was June for a few weeks and it all ended by September, co2 started to decrease not until May or June of the following year when we see a northern hemisphere reduction anyway?

On another topic I Had an discussion over the need to build large dam and irrigation projects for agricultural enhancement of our semi arid interior of NE Australia, and stated that spreader levees would help hold the water on such flat land long enough for the irregular hard rain events to soak in and start to rebuild the soil sponge instead of flood away to the ocean (the last major one at the time was over 80km wide when it hit the gulf) Anyway they have been trialing this to great success and I ran the numbers on this globally and it looks like this is another way to reverse the situation we are in while opening up billions of HA of more agricultural land. I wrote a few articles on this on my Substack if you are interested. Thanks for your continued dedication.

Theodore-Regarding the brief CO2 rise between the eruption and 1992's plateau--My best explanation is that the nitrogen-fixing bacteria were growing during that period, or there may not have been an eddy during that period. Or both.

I'm wondering about creating a suite of biomimicry projects--the one you mention above, LOF, regenerative farming, mangrove restoration. artificial whale poop spread around by cruiseliners and commercial shipping, etc. If there is a suite of offerings, then people may feel more comfortable since as a suite, somethings are sure to work.

Envisionation was working on infusing nutrients into bran husk to create a whale poop mimicry floating solution. I am currently working on Detritivore rich mulches and composts to mimic the A horizon of soils which slow release nutrients in the most biologically acceptable way so we may be able to substitute some of the more harmful aspects of our chemical fertilizer use. The addition of reforestation of intermittent creeks and riparian zones with slow release farm dams can mimic the evapotranspiration and bioaerosol input of much larger forested areas, hopefully tapping into the more frequent but lower intensity rain events from the atmospheric rivers that float above us . Yes I think there are many Ideas that can enhance and even catalyze more positive changes.

Do you want connections to people to collaborate with on these various projects (you may already know them).

Someday people will be scared enough to embrace a geoengineering project. Pinatubo showed us two. People will need to be terrified for either. Will people choose something rational like OIF with no immediate cooling help or something irrational like Stratospheric Aerosol Injection? This isn’t about what people “should” do, it’s what they WILL do.

Peter Fiekowsky's avatar

Kevin-Our plan is to use planning to incite action, not fear. You see here our plan to get LOF started--within a year. Come play and work with us.

Thanks Peter this is excellent.

An idea whose time has come.

So exciting to think in 25 years of a Climate restored. In 25 years I will with luck be alive and the same age as my father Peter who turns 92 next month. He has read your book, is a fan and passed it on to others to read.

Peter Fiekowsky's avatar

Tim- Thank you. Yes-let's keep growing the momentum.

Great endeavor Peter! OIF has been proven over and over to remove carbon, feed food chains, enhance biota, and cool the planet with ccn's over the low albedo waters. Am working on Agape Cool which includes what you term LOF in the 30NS latitude bandwidth. Am just breaking out.. had ironfertilization.com/org for years waiting to put them into effect. Took them out when I was sold on OIF.
